Train in the Right Environment
At Chico Golf Academy, we believe every part of your game deserves the right environment to develop. That’s why we teach at a variety of outstanding locations throughout Chico, giving our students access to outdoor practice facilities, golf courses, short-game areas, launch monitors, and simulator technology.
Rather than being limited to a single facility, we can choose the location that best fits what we’re working on — whether that’s building your swing, improving impact, dialing in your wedges, sharpening your short game, or learning how to score on the golf course.
Full Swing • Ball Flight • On-Course Development
Skyway Golf Park offers an excellent outdoor environment for developing your game. Its driving range allows us to work extensively on the full swing while seeing real ball flight — an important part of understanding how changes in technique translate into actual shots.
Skyway also features an enjoyable six-hole, par-3 course. It’s a great setting for beginners learning how to play the game, as well as more experienced golfers looking to work on approach shots, short game, course management, and scoring in a relaxed environment.

On-Course Coaching • Short Game • Putting • Wedges
Bidwell Park Golf Course offers an excellent setting for both practice and on-course instruction. As a full 18-hole golf course, it allows us to take what we work on in a lesson directly onto the course — developing course management, club selection, pre-shot routines, decision-making, and the ability to perform in real playing situations.
Its practice facilities are also particularly useful for putting, chipping, pitching, and wedge development. The practice range extends to approximately 150 yards, allowing us to work on everything from delicate shots around the green to distance control and longer wedge and approach shots.
This combination makes Bidwell a valuable environment for connecting technique, scoring skills, and actual golf-course performance.

Simulator • Swing Analysis • Data
Swing Lab provides a technology-driven indoor training environment where we can combine coaching with objective information about what the golf ball and club are doing at impact.
Simulator and launch-monitor data allow us to measure important aspects of each shot rather than relying solely on feel or observation. This makes Swing Lab an excellent environment for detailed swing analysis, understanding impact, and tracking improvement.

Short Course • Wedge Play • Launch Monitors
Beyond Golf offers a unique environment for developing the skills that ultimately help golfers score.
Its short nine-hole course is ideal for working on wedge play, distance control, touch around the greens, and learning how to turn technique into better performance on the course.
Beyond Golf also features a practice area with launch-monitor technology, giving us objective feedback while working on swing and impact.
Beyond Golf Chico
Simulator Golf • Groups • Social Golf
Hatchet Hangout combines simulator golf with a fun and relaxed social environment. We can use the simulator for instruction and practice while still having access to useful shot data and feedback.
With beer and wine available along with a variety of other activities, Hatchet Hangout is also a great option for group lessons, parties, corporate events, and anyone looking to combine golf instruction with a more social experience.

More Locations. More Ways to Improve.
Every golfer is different, and every part of the game requires a different type of practice.
By working across multiple facilities, Chico Golf Academy can match the training environment to the needs of the player. From outdoor ball flight and short-game practice to on-course development and simulator technology, we have the flexibility to work on every aspect of your game.
It also allows Chico Golf Academy to support and collaborate with some of Chico’s outstanding local golf facilities — creating more opportunities for golfers to practice, play, learn, and enjoy the game.
